Slow but sure chair lifts

While recently visiting my grandmother I noticed a number of devices that were designed to help the residents get around and have a more productive time during their stay. Most prominent in the living room and television watching areas were the lift chair recliners. Everyone has their very own chair and no one else would even think about relaxing in a space that wasn’t theirs.

I know this to be true as I sat down in the lift chair that was next to Grandmothers. Being that she’s a bit out of it, she failed to let me know that as we were enjoying an episode of Wheel of Fortune I was committing the biggest indiscretion. Of course, when the lovely elderly woman whose chair I was sitting in discovered me there, I was politely, yet sternly reminded that chairs are for residents. Yikes!

The other really cool devices were the chair lifts that provided aid to the residents that were unable to make the journey up to the second floor of the residence. While I found it a bit slow, if I had no other way to get to my bedroom, I imagine the chair lift device would surely be a lifesaver.
