Motorist Protection for a Major Road Construction Project

crowd control barriersWhen Nena Nelson needed to find a way for the DOT to pay for equipment for several state road construction projects, her research first kicked off online. Working for the Department of Transportation had its benefits, but if she couldn’t find a reasonable way for the organization to pay for the thousands of jersey barrier, then her job would be on the line. In addition to that, knowing that all the traffic safety equipment had done its job following the projects, when there were no reports of serious accidents, would bring job satisfaction

In the scope of her job, Nena had access to all the statistics about hazardous drivers and the ways that they could injure themselves on the road. It would take all sorts of crowd control barriers, including plastic jersey barriers, tensbarrier, traffic barricades, and traffic cones to make these series of projects safe enough to implement. Finding the right place to acquire these necessities was half the battle. Now, it was up to the ingenuity of the construction workers to carry out the reconstruction plan that was scheduled to last nearly 10 years across almost a thousand miles of road.
